The Perennial Bag

Long gone are the days of the "it" bag craze, though I never bought into "it" anyway. I'm not the biggest cultivator of Vuitton: I don't entirely identify with the Louis aesthetic - which is not to say that it's not a lovely one. However, this shoulder bag is an oldie but goodie. It has the ideal running around town, nothing to weigh me down size. It is the perfect complement to colorful summer nights and can be worn equally well with winter whites. (I promise that was not an intentional rhyme). Now that is a sartorial "it" I can get behind.

Vogue's Ten Best Dressed Choice - 1/10

Two things about Kate Bosworth: One, can anyone do understated elegance better? Which leads to two, she looked absolutely stunning in that Jil Sander mint maxi number. I would wear that collection every day.

Trudge It

When it looks like this outside, sometimes all you can do is throw on those Burberry wellies and trudge. Thinking about adding some new makeup products to my ever-growing stash: fluid iridescent eyeshadow anyone? I think I spend too much on makeup. Sometimes I leave the Bergdorf counter with a pair-of-Miu Miu-shoes worth of products. Not good.

Stella's World

The thing I love most about Stella McCartney is that her clothes are streamlined yet have a flirty element to them. Like this grey (♥ grey) peplum top for instance. She totally gets it. Every young metropolitan woman should have Stella McCartney in her closet. Today, I tried to add something new to my coffee regime - a vanilla latte. It didn't really impress me, so I think i'll stick to my old fashioned press or macchiato. Wearing my top with black skinnies and patent leather pointy toe pumps.

Love the simple long zipper in the back. You feel like you're putting on a piece of armour.
