Good Fortune

I just bought a pair of the highly covetable Celine sunglasses in black! All the stores state side have been out of them for months, let alone in black. They are coming from France, so the shipping and tax is pretty hefty, but I didn't think twice. To say that I am ecstatic is an understatement. Have a great spring weekend all!

Hats Galore

via modaoperandi.com

I am so into anything that keeps me dry. We get terrible cold wind and rain in NYC. And NOTHING is worse than feeling like a wet dog in your outfit with a matching damp head of hair. I had never heard of Sensi Studio before, but when I read the details regarding their hats, I knew I had to buy at least one. 100% felted wool, water repellent, and made in Ecuador by designer Stephany Sensi. Can I repeat - water repellent. I pre-ordered one of these earlier today. Can you guess which one? Will suit me perfect in the fall.

Valli Two-Tone

I'm obsessing over the satin two-tone boot by Giambattista Valli on Moda Operandi. With all of these over-embellished, caged, multi-print heels that look like they are going to bite - these are by fair the chicest pair of shoes I've seen in quite a long time. Always a tough decision, purchasing something you won't see for months. But they're worth it?

Sorbet

I can't get enough Equipment. I just bought this blouse in Sorbet, which is such an amazing color almost because of its lack of color? Make any sense? The blouse radiates summer and will look super fresh paired with black and white separates and accessories. The anticipation is killing me!

Sweet Success

Just made my first big ticket item purchase of the summer! I have been waiting for this blouse to pop up online since October (when I saw it sashaying down the runway)...  and it sold out minutes after I snatched it - what a rush! It made it onto my spring must-have list (which I'm posting soon, I promise). I'm soo f-in excited! (Can you tell?) Sneak peak above.

Reed Krakoff canvas Oxfords
I hardly ever wear flats because I never find a pair that I like. So it's no surprise that the first time I find Oxfords to be semi-acceptable, they have a heel. I always thought Oxfords were kind of a model-only thing. They shorten legs because of where the shoe cuts off at the ankle. However, since this pair has a small heel and the canvas material comes in a light grey (friendly to paler legs), I'm rethinking my boycott. These would wear perfect downtown or in East Hampton. Not to mention they are are Reed Krakoff - that doesn't hurt either.

Peachy-Keen

via  net-a-porter's online magazine - "A Privileged Life" editorial

I was browsing and found a beautiful polka-dot silk crepe de Chine blouse by Miu Miu carried by net-a-porter. But it is sold out! The one in green as well. What's a girl to do...

Can you tell?

These two pairs of Giuseppe Zanotti sandals work for either night or day, I'd say.

Après-ski

My ski clothes are German and Swiss, my skiing equipment, Austrian (Fischer), but I'm due for a new après-ski ensemble... French, perhaps? I came across these goose down jackets by Moncler whilst salivating on Département Féminin: one, is a shiny black, the other, a less flashy gray flannel. And the selling point: they are machine washable. Yes, machine washable winter outerwear.

Special Delivery

First and foremost, my apologies for the crappy MacBook shots, but I couldn't contain my excitement. The jewelry has already arrived! I had to try it on immediately and show you. I am so pleased with its condition and weight - it's a solid piece. At the very bottom of the package was a note from the women over at Atlantis Dry Goods, which reads: "We hope you have fun wearing your choker!" Thank you, Karen & Co. for the lovely thought... your piece is in good hands. A friend's birthday celebration is coming up and it is the perfect opportunity to wear the necklace for the first time.

Atlantis Dry Goods

I ordered this vintage modernist choker off of Atlantis Dry Goods, the e-commerce shop launched by designer Judy Aldridge of Atlantis Home fame. I've been looking for a heavy duty yet elegant necklace such as this one for quite some time. Did I tell you I was under the weather? The gold metal links are just what the doctor prescribed.
