Getting myself an iPad, if only for the satisfaction of toting around this perforated leather case

In My Closet: Jardin des Metamorphoses

The silk threads create a color somewhere between pink meets orange meets red. There is a herd of horses that morph in a tree, as well as other animals, garden arches, and natural elements hiding throughout. I can't stop staring at it.

Care of My Love

What's that peaking through the branches? Take a closer look. Can you tell already?

There are collectors for just about anything. I collect Hermes scarves. They are stories to be told, my dears.
Whenever I'm in a major city, I stop by the Hermes boutique and take a peek at what they have to offer, and I buy a limited edition print unique to that city (or perhaps, even that season and city). Many a Hermes scarf already have a story in the print, the longer you look at it, the more you find. But whenever I wear that scarf, I remember the moment I bought it, where I was, who I was with, and my experience in that city as a whole. It's a fun and romantic gift to me from me.
However, this year, a new tradition was born: my boyfriend gave me a scarf for Christmas. The print and the colors are stunning; He knows what I like. But the best part of opening my gift was his story behind buying it, which I guess was a gift in and of itself.

I'll show you what's inside the box later..

Waverly

Just got back from one of my favorite Gastropubs in the village. Wore my obnoxious Burberry Prorsum perspex ring. Because it limits your dexterity to only drinking for the most part, it proved to be the ideal accompaniment to my pint of Belhaven. The grittiness of the streets always inspire the way I dress when I head downtown, a nice departure from my usual dress code, which revolves around the area I spend most of my time in because of work and where I live. What's In Mari's Shopping Basket - 11/12

Today's shopping bag is eclectic. Some blue tassel earrings by Oscar de la Renta, that add oomph to a neutral outfit or that extra dazzle to an over-the-top look. Two black sweaters: one for day (Bottega Veneta) and one for night (Malandrino) - love love love this sweater! I always stick my laptop in my bag as is, the titanium Mac seems to withstand a lot. But because of that, I always tend to purchase bags that must fit my laptop. In order to end this bad habit, I'm finally buying a laptop case, see Mulberry Bayswater patent-leather case below. While I was browsing through my favorite online shopping site, I gravitated toward this Alexander Wang Diego leather bucket bag in burgundy. This bag is totally not me, but there's something about it that seduced me. So I'm still deciding whether or not to get it. Knowing how fast these things (Wang) go... I give myself a 3-hour window before I lose it... 3 hours to decide - to bucket or not to bucket?

Thinking about...

this Carolina Bucci woven 18-karat gold cuff. I've never seen a cuff like this yet. At 4,000k, it's out of my budget, but I can still admire. The royal blue against the gold is divine. The thing I love about cuffs is that you put one on and you're set! No other jewelry required.

In My Closet: YSL Accessories

Someone asked me to post a picture of my Yves Saint Laurent wallet and the camel shift dress I wore a few nights ago and mentioned on this blog. Unfortunately, the shift dress is at the dry cleaners at the moment! But the wallet was gently tucked away in its box asap (I like to keep things in their boxes if possible - when you handle with care they last longer, although my small bags are all lined up like a file folder- but that's a closet memo for another time). I bought the "mini twee grained-leather wallet" this past summer. I really liked the amount of space for credit cards, business cards, cash and change the wallet offers. And the beautiful 'Y' down the center won me over also. Considering the size and length, you can see why I sometimes use it as a clutch. For a wallet, it's very chic, don't you think?

Excuse the chipped nails, but I was busy cleaning my apartment!

Celine Fashion Candy

I'm craving the following accessories. Simply lovely. I already added them to my spring 2011 must-haves post-it on my laptop's dashboard, which I seem to return to time and time again during Paris FW! Check out the chic hair!
